Responsibilities - What You'll be Doing

  • Students will be responsible to attend daily meetings and orientation with the Medical Student Ambassador Coordinator.

  • Students will be assigned to cover each of the sessions that take place during the Scientific Assembly.

  • At the beginning of each session, students will introduce themselves to the moderator and speakers and identify their role as a Medical Student Ambassador, offering to assist with any AV needs and/or contact the appropriate person should AV needs or other issues arise.

  • Students will ensure that all attendees receive feedback forms at the beginning of each session and subsequently collect feedback forms from attendees.

  • Students will then collate feedback onsite into a template and email it to the appropriate AAEM representative in charge of coordinating the Student Ambassadors. Students will bring their own laptops in order to complete this task.

  • Students will contribute to the social media presence at the Scientific Assembly by tweeting about various sessions and posting photos of speakers and other aspects of the event using the official scientific assembly hash tag, #AAEM17.

  • Students can expect roughly 5-7 hours of commitment each day, and will be able to request to attend certain sessions of interest.

Up to $50 will be reimbursed to offset miscellaneous costs, however Medical Student Ambassadors are responsible for their own travel expenses. Please do not apply unless you are able to commit to attending the Annual Scientific Assembly.
