Climbing the Hill Webinar Series

All webinars will take place at 7:00pm CT

Join AAEM/RSA for this new virtual series leading up to our Health Policy in EM Symposium (HPEM) and Advocacy Day, October 19-20, 2021, in Washington, D.C.

We're covering a variety of topics on the minds of residents and medical students in emergency medicine. Join our content experts for this bi-weekly series beginning in late August as we explore what each of these topics mean for us as future EM physicians. Then, sign up to attend HPEM and Advocacy Day to learn how to lobby and advocate for our specialty on Capitol Hill.

Upcoming Webinar

Emergency medicine physicians are on the frontline of patient care. Unfortunately, this often can put them at risk for workplace violence during patient interaction. High risk and high stress situations with volatile patients can degrade into verbal and physical threats to physician safety. Learn more about how to approach workplace violence in an educated way and give a voice to the silent attack on emergency departments nationwide.

Registration for these webinars is limited to AAEM/RSA members. You must be a paid member of AAEM/RSA to attend. Join or renew now!

We look forward to discussing these hot topics with you and our experts, Dr. Julie Veith and Dr. Haig Aintablian.

What are Contract Management Groups (CMGs), and why do they have so much influence in emergency medicine? The recent workforce data shows that there is an upcoming oversupply of EM docs, and CMGs are one of the main problems. Join us and two EM experts on this topic and gain a better understanding of what a CMG is and what you can do to advocate against their further expansion into EM.
