In 2024, the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), in collaboration with several other specialty organizations, developed the Hospice and Palliative Medicine certification exam, which is available to eligible emergency medicine physicians who have completed a respective fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. For fellows, residents, and students who are interested in this subspeciality, the AAEM/RSA Publications Workgroup has compiled a repository of free, open-access medical education (FOAMed) resources in line with the official certification exam content outline for your education.
